Enjoyable but a bit disappointing. I like Jet's character and the things he is struggling with. Ayden, not so much. Had a hard time feeling any connection or sympathy for her or her reasons for doing anything she did. At times the story and characters felt very similar to Rule/Shaw; very similar story pattern and messed up families once again made up the majority of the past/present drama. Girl denies feelings, guy clues in after getting hit upside the head with the stupid stick by friends, guy makes advance, goes okay for a while then girl suddenly backs off for thin reason that is family related, guy has family issues, gets moody and backs off, tragedy hits girl, guy swoops in, they both wake up and happily ever after. There was also a great deal of internal monologue that had me skimming pages. Despite that, Jet kept me reading and I am looking forward to Rome's story.
