Tracing The Stars

I read mostly science fiction and romance, and often a combination of the two.

Beautifully Damaged (Beautifully Damaged, #1)

Beautifully Damaged (Beautifully Damaged, #1) - L.A. Fiore Yes, an editor is needed, but it didn't detract from what, much to my surprise, turned out to be an enjoyable, beautiful story. There were some plot issues and discrepancies, but the heart of the story still came through. Trace manged to crawl his way out of an abused childhood but still bearing the weight of all of it on his shoulders. Ember is a strong but shy girl who is too trusting, and although it leads her to make friends with some of the wrong people, it allows her to give Trace a chance despite his reputation. Although the story is told from Ember's point of view, the story is really about Trace and the development of his character from one extreme to the other and back again as he struggles for balance and self-acceptance.
